Making natural burial available in New Hampshire will rely on landowners to see a new purpose for their protected land. With your help, we can assist in making connections that will ease the process to ensure that your vision will be realized and accessible to those who share your commitment to land conservation and environmentally sound disposition.

Why You?
Landowners who partner with land trusts in projects that include natural burial activity receive the benefits of the easement, including protection of that land in perpetuity, eligibility for receiving improvement and restoration funds, and potential income from events.

What Type of Land is Usable for Burial Grounds?
Ideally, land used for burial needs:
  • 2-20 acres dedicated to burial
  • appropriate zoning
  • municipal and neighbor consent
  • access or potential to a public road
  • no owner restrictions or deed covenants
  • slight elevation changes
  • not be located in a flood zone
  • well-drained soils

How to Get Started
An email or call to us will get things started in matching your prospective land donation to natural burial nonprofit groups and potential land trusts or to answer any questions you might have.
