What We Strive For 

Creating independent burial spaces can be complex and expensive. Our goal is to provide a larger framework and funding pool for potential cemetery nonprofits and to educate the public about why natural burial is important to each of us.

​We pledge to:

• Provide educational resources to the general public about natural and conservation burial practices.
• Support best practices and understanding of conservation and natural burial to New Hampshire land trusts.
• Help fund the formation of independent nonprofit natural and conservation burial grounds in New Hampshire.
• Foster charitable service programming for individuals and groups in independent burial grounds.

Educational Events

Educational programs and materials will help disseminate accurate, truthful information about natural burial to the public. We partner with New Hampshire Funeral Resources to give consumers access to funeral information to help consumers make truly informed decisions.

Charitable Programs

Charitable activities include direct funding for cemetery start ups, plus funding for programs that benefit families with veterans, infants and children, guardianship program participants, and others in need who apply for burial in any NBNH-funded burial ground.
